Governor Kinuthia Mbugua on Sytyrday sent a condolence message to Nairobi Governor Evans Kidero following the death of Dr Kidero's father, Johnson Kidero Agango.

The late Agango, 87, passed on on Friday.

He died while undergoing surgery on in Chennai China.

"Please join me in sending condolence message to Nairobi City County Governor Evans Kidero and his family following the passing on of his beloved father Mzee Johnson Kidero Agango," Mbugua said in his official Facebook page.

"I pray to the Almighty to bestow strength to the family members as they cope with this great loss."

Kinuthia in his statement further praised the late for his contributions in fighting for the county’s independence as well as his achievements in building the community and church at large.

"Mzee Agango was an outstanding man and a patriot, having played a role in the struggle for independence for our nation and also engaged in pivotal roles in his community and church. His wise counsel was always sort and relied upon at various levels and will be missed by many." Kinuthia further said.

Among key leaders to have passed their heartfelt messages to Kidero's family include President Uhuru Kenyatta, Deputy President William Ruto, oposition leader Raila Odinga, Amani National Congress leader Musalia Mudavadi among other leaders.
