Nakuru Governor Kinuthia Mbugua says there is need for more funds to be allocated towards development projects in the county.
Mbugua who spoke during the 9th leg of Gavana Mtaani initiative in Viwandani ward, Naivasha on Thursday, said the Executive will engage the county assembly over the issue.
He said more money needs to be allocated towards development projects as they have a huge impact in transforming the economy and livelihoods.
“We will engage the county assembly because it is the policy maker so that we can get an increase in funding for our development projects. This will help in completion of those projects that have stalled and also initiate more,” he said.
All the 55 wards across the county have an allocation of Sh25 million every financial year, an amount MCAs argue is at times too little to launch new projects or even complete existing ones.
