MCAS from Nakuru County have called on Governor Kinuthia Mbugua to move with speed and implement the resolution of the county assembly of Nakuru to send home the county secretary Joseph Motari, Public Service chief officer Phillip Sigei and 180 workers hired irregularly.
Speaking Monday in a phone interview, Dundori MCA Steve Kihara who chaired the adhoc committee that prepared the report said it would only be prudent for the governor to respect the wish of the people of Nakuru as depicted through their elected leaders.
The two senior officers were implicated as chief architects of a cartel that saw workers hired irregularly.
“The only present the governor can give the people of Nakuru this year is by implementing the full recommendations of the report by sending Motari and his friends home,” said Kihara.
The governor has been a given a 14-days window within which to effect the resolution of the assembly.
Initial reports indicated that the two officers were intending to move to court to seek restraining orders although as at afternoon today, they were said to be in a closed door meeting with Governor Kinuthia Mbugua.
