Nakuru County Governor Kinuthia Mbugua has appealed to health workers in the county to focus on providing proper medical care to the people instead of sideshows.

Mbugua insisted that the county had invested heavily in the health sector and that locals must be given quality services they deserve.

Speaking when he toured Olenguruone District Hospital in Kuresoi South on Thursday, the Governor said that health care is important for the people more than anything.

He added that provision of quality services will enable locals to participate in development adding that the county has in place appropriate policies to promote access medical care.

Mbugua further promised to spearhead the interests and the welfare of health workers in the county.

He said that the county is working with the national government and stakeholders to ensure health workers conditions are improved.

The county boss said that his government is committed to service delivery and that nothing will distract the county from making progress.

The former Administration Police Commandant asked leaders across the political divide to work together for the sake of development.

He explained that development would never be achieved if leaders are divided adding that he will welcome opinions and views that from all leaders as long as they support development.

Mbugua challenged locals in Kuresoi to accommodate and support each other in their pursuit of economic development.
