Nakuru Governor Kinuthia Mbugua has welcomed French investors into the county saying they are ready to work with the French government on various development projects.
Mbugua who spoke when he hosted the French Ambassador to Kenya Remi Marechaux on Saturday, said that his government will welcome all investors seeking to invest in the county.
He said that Nakuru enjoys cordial relationship with the French government adding that French investors should feel free and pump money into the county.
“My government is ready to work with foreign investors who are keen on boosting living standards of people through projects,” said the Governor.
Mbugua stated that Nakuru County has resources that if harnessed will promote development in the county for the good of both the county residents and leaders.
Governor Mbugua added that his government will give incentives to foreign investors who are willing to invest in the county.
He urged the French government to support the county government on key development projects for the sake of development.
On his part, Ambassador Marechaux pledged to invite more investors into the county. He said that Nakuru is among the Kenya’s fast-growing urban centres hence it needs more investors to develop the county further.
Marechaux, who later led more than 40 French investors to tour the county, confirmed that the French government will continue to work with Kenya on development.
The ambassador lauded Kenya for devolving key functions saying it will enable locals at grass roots to access easily services.
