Nakuru Governor Kinuthia Mbugua has urged parents to ensure high standards of discipline and morals among their children.
Speaking on Tuesday in Mathira West Sub-county in Nyeri during the burial of Rahel Mumbi Mugwe mother to Gilgil MCA Hon Jane Ngugi, Mbugua urged parents to be good ambassadors to their children.
He said children are tomorrow's nation and should be nurtured.
"Even as we sent off our departed soul Mama Rahel Mumbi Mugwe, my appeal to parents is that let us nurture our children in the right way for they will take leadership from us," Said Mbugua.
He eulogized the late as, a courageous, kind, supportive and a disciplinarian woman, qualities that she passed on to all her children.
The deceased passed on at the age of 88.
Governor Mbugua was accompanied by Nakuru County Assembly Speaker Hon. Susan Kihika and a number of MCAs.
