Robert Mbui Member of National Assembly for Kathiani sub-county has vowed to unite with Kangundo and Kathiani residents and hold peaceful demonstrations along Mombasa road following Thwake bridge construction delay.
Mbui was speaking on Feb 21 at salvation army Mutuyu in Mbee sub-location in Kathiani sub-county during the dedication of Captain John Kitwee.
He said that its a shame that the county government lied to Kangundo and Kathiani sub-counties residents that Thwake bridge could be constructed early last month but nothing has actually been done.
The bridge was swept away in November 2015 due to heavy El-Nino rains which were experienced all over the country, creating a gap between Kathiani and Kangundo sub-counties.
"I am determined to call upon all people from the two sub-counties to go ahead and hold peaceful demonstrations along busy Mombasa road if construction of the Thwake bridge won't commence in two days time," said Mbui.
