After sealing her unexpected move to Maendeleo Chap Chap (MCC) party on Tuesday, Nominated Senator Emma Mbura has vowed to floor her Jubilee Party opponent in the August polls.
Mbura who had initially threatened to ditch the Uhuru Kenyatta-led party amid fears that she will be rigged out of the nominations, made true her threats when she officially joined MCC, an outfit she intends to use to vie for the Rabai parliamentary seat. The lawmaker who was officially received by MCC party leader Machakos Governor Alfred Mutua said she is confident of edging out all her opponents come August, and hit at Deputy President William Ruto for allegedly frustrating her bid."They thought I would go to NASA so they can finish me with propaganda. But they are all now surprised. I will still beat them," said Mbura, as quoted by the Star. The Senator who was nominated to parliament by the now defunct TNA party, will face ODM's Rabai MCA Anthony Kenga who has declared interest in the seat and Nelson Dzuya, who is said to be DP Ruto's preferred candidate for Jubilee Party.
