Thang’wa accused the officers of laxity hence, rampant insecurity in the area.

This follows after an incident on Tuesday where a bodaboda rider was shot and robbed his motorbike by thugs who then escaped using a personal car.

"The Kwa-Maiko Police officers could have been able to intercept the robbers were it not for their indolence,” said Thang'wa.

"The fellow boda boda riders informed them on time about the matter but they did nothing. I am requesting the county commissioner to remove them from this station and bring us effective people," he noted.

The MCA cited incidences where the said police officers have been found harassing bodaboda people and even traders.

"Their work is to engage in petty matters; asking for small bribes from traders and bodabodas. But when they are called to respond to serious things, they are nowhere to be found", he said.

Thang’wa was speaking at Kwa-Maiko on Tuesday after the incidence happened.
