Naivasha’s Hells Gate MCA Jonathan Warothe has urged the county government to improve the drainage system and roads in the area.
Speaking at Naivasha town on Wednesday, the elected ward representative observed that the drainage system is affecting activities, especially during rainy seasons when it becomes worse.
He said that surface runoff often flows to people’s homes and business premises, affecting their activities.
The MCA further complained of the poor state of roads adding that there is need for urgent repairs.
Warothe said that most roads connecting the ward to Naivasha town are impassable during the rainy season. He added that poor road networks continue to inconvenience residents doing business.
The MCA blamed the problems on poor planning of the area, saying there is need for the government to come up with a new master plan for the sub-county.
