Naivasha East Ward representative Samuel Waithuki has called local leaders to shun propaganda and work towards development.
Speaking at Naivasha town over the weekend, Waithuki lamented and accused leaders of neglecting their duties.
He observed that leaders are engaging in empty talks while residents have no access to basic services.
“We leaders should stop engaging in endless talk and instead work for the people,” he said.
The Nakuru assembly majority leader said that it is time politicians specially those elected by the people to take their work seriously.
The MCA further urged politicians to desist from using remarks that will antagonize and cause disharmony among the public.
Waithuki said it is the reasonability of leaders to lead by example and help unite Kenyans.
The assembly majority leader assured residents that they will pass laws that protect the welfare of citizens.
He said the assembly is committed to promote the living standards of the people through appropriate laws.
He urged county MCAs to bring up motions and Bills that will add value to the lives of Nakuru residents.
