Kisii County governor James Ongwae is to blame for the stalled development projects in the Mokwerero ward says area MCA Mr Geoffrey Ombui.

According to Ombui, Ongwae failed to allocate funds to complete development projects such as Rianchore Youth Polytechnic. The MCA said he will not sit and watch projects stalling in his tenure.

"It is bad that Ongwae failed to allocate funds during his first term in office to start the construction of Rianchore Youth Polytechnic. I promise the people of Mokwerero ward that no project will be left stalling in my tenure since all development funds will be used appropriately,” he added.

Ombui stated that Ongwae should not allow close allies, relatives, and friends to embezzle public funds.

“For Ongwae to leave a legacy after he retires in 2022 he should ensure his close allies, relatives, and friends don’t divert funds meant for development. Ongwae should make a follow up on the funds sent to all wards in the County to ensure no money is misused by the MCAs,” he added.
