Police officers have been urged to beef up security in Sengera Bosoti ward in Kisii County due to increased incidents of insecurity in the area
Speaking on Monday in his ward area MCA Timothy Nyarang’o criticised Sengera security personnel for allegedly failing to tackle insecurity incidents in the area prompting area residents to live in fear.
On Sunday night businessmen in Sengera market were terrorised and injured by unknown terrorist who also defiled a woman of one of the area residents
“Insecurity has increased in this ward I call upon the national government to improve security in this ward since many of residents are living in fear,” said MCA Nyarang’o.
The MCA also challenged the national government to transfer all Sengera AP police offices since they have failed to secure the area and bring new police officers who can take care of the area residents
“Current police officers at Sengera police post are doing nothing in security we need reshuffle to be done by the national government," he added.
