Nakuru nominated MCA in charge of youth Margret Kiiru has called for the sacking of incompetent county staffs in the youth docket.
Speaking on Wednesday at Nakuru Town, Kiiru alleged that the interests of youth are not addressed by the incompetent county staffs.
“Youth elected leaders to tackle their problems but they have abandoned them in the hour of need,” said Kiiru.
“Youth are wallowing in poverty, yet they elected leaders to offer solutions facing them but leaders have abandoned them,” added Kiiru .
The vocal leader among the youth said that the elected leaders should sacrifice their efforts in serving youth with dedication.
Kiiru accused officials of doing little to offer youth blood life impact in life.
“The county staffs in-charge of youth 'always' accompany the governor in attending meetings instead of addressing the plight of youth,” she said.
She alleged that youth have lost confidence in the county government for not doing much in addressing their plight.
“Those invested in the running of youth affairs have fallen short of youth expectations,” said the nominated member.
Kiiru called on the county government to employ staffs who are focused to ensure youth are not desperate.
She also urged county government to increase its allocation to youth, women and persons with disabilities to cope with challenges they are facing.
