Hospital Ward MCA Mwangi Wa Mwangi has called on youth from his Ward to come out in large numbers for the Kiambu Youth Empowerment programme which kicked off on Monday in the county.

Young people in the programme will be taught dangers of Drug and Substance abuse, CV writing, Business plan design, 30% of government procurement, HIV/AIDS among others.

The programme is expected to shed some light to the Kiambu youth in various activities that, according to the MCA, are expected to help them build their future and improve on their skills in job creation as the world is moving to digital.

Speaking to Majengo residents on Monday when he met security committee of the area, the MCA said that he will ensure that all the youth in his area are trained and get necessary skills needed to acquire any job.

He however raised concerns over the increased number of idlers in the area saying that most of them are jobless youth who need to be involved in the training to ensure they unleash their skills and knowledge to easily acquire jobs in the county.

Earlier this year, the MCA had started training class eight and form four leavers on free computer and driving courses where they acquired their certificates and interim driving licenses as they wait for the processing of the licenses.

The MCA is known for his youthful activities and engagements with the youth considering he was a Bodaboda operator before joining politics.

The training in Hospital Ward will take place in February 21 in the Community Hall in Starehe Estate.
