The MCA on Wednesday claimed that some politicians are hiring youths to disrupt rallies being conducted by their opponents.

Munga said that with the 2017 elections around the corner young people are falling vulnerable to selfish politicians.

“We are telling young people to be wary of selfish politicians who will want to use them as weapons of violence as the 2017 election nears,” he told journalists in Limuru on Wednesday.

The MCA claimed that some politicians hired youths to disrupt a meeting that was taking place at Thigio Primary school in Limuru on Sunday.

Munga stated that some youths were paid to disrupt the thanksgiving prayer service that was being hosted by Limuru MP John Kiragu on Sunday.

The Ndeiya MCA urged politicians to engage in issue-based politics and stop inciting the people.

He warned that acts of intolerance being perpetuated by some politicians could easily plug the country into chaos.

The Ndeiya Ward MCA asked the National Cohesion and Integration Commission (NCIC) to crack the whip on politicians who spew hate and perpetuate hooliganism.
