Four people were left dead, with an MCA escaping death by whisker, following a grisly road accident along the Nakuru-Nairobi highway.
Nairobi County's Ziwani/Kariokor MCA Millicent Mugadi was on her way from Kisumu where she attended a burial ceremony of a football player from her ward, when the accident happened in Gilgil, Nakuru county.
One person died on the spot, while other three, died at the St Mary’s Hospital, where they were rushed for medication, Sunday, alongside the MCA, before they succumbed to injuries.
Mugadi sustained serious injuries and was referred to Nairobi for further medication.
Confirming the incident, Gilgil OCPD Sarah Koki said the driver of the saloon car swerved to the wrong side, hitting a lorry.
