We will not allow this to continue since there is no county law that allows them to harass businessmen,” he said in Eldoret town, Thursday.“Even if someone has committed a crime he/she should be handled in a humane manner and not being beaten by clubs. As I am talking now 10 fruit vendors have been injured badly some of them with broken hands and legs,” he added. He called upon Uasin Gishu County Commissioner Abdi Hassan to intervene since fruit vendors and hawkers at large are suffering at the expense of County Askaris and the AP.“I am calling upon the county commissioner to take stern actions against those involved since this is not the first or second and if nothing is done we will take law in our hands," said Samuel Mwangi one the fruit vendors."Truly we are suffering and we want President Uhuru Kenyatta to intervene before things get out of hands," added Paul Ndungu another fruit vendor.
