According to the organisers of the protest, some a hundred youth have been allegedly hired and paid ksh 1000 to disrupt the peaceful protest.

One of the organisers Hezron Manyara claimed that a Nakuru MCA and a senior county government official are mobilising youths to hold a counter and parallel protest on the same day.

Speaking Tuesday in Nakuru town, Manyara said the hired youths have been instructed to prepare placards castigating county assembly speaker Susan Kihika and Majority Leader who are alleged to be the organisers of the protest calling for Motari's sacking.

"We have information that one hundred youth have been hired and are being given Sh1000 each so that they can disrupt the Thursday protest,"said Manyara.

"They have been instructed to prepare placards castigating Speaker Kihika and the Majority Leader and they have been told to hold their protest parallel to the one we are going to hold,"he said.

The Nakuru Peoples Accountability Forum is on Thursday expected to lead Nakuru residents in holding a peaceful protest following failure by Governor Kinuthia Mbugua to sack county secretary Joseph Motari after he was accused of abusing his powers and office by an ad hoc committee set up by the assembly.
