The state of Nyamira County mortuary has drawn the attention of the county assembly after nominated MCA Rachel Asumari demanded an answer from the chair of the Health committee over its pathetic condition."Mr Speaker why is the morgue so dirty yet we were promised by the executive that it would be upgraded?" asked Asumari.She continued to say that she even visited the morgue to collect her beloved fallen relative but the state was worse until she was not able to move across to the gate of the morgue. "Mr Speaker today (Tuesday), I happened to be at the morgue to collect the body of my relative but I was not able to go even past the gate due to the stench," she added. Speaker Joash Nyamoko gave the vice chair Health committee Richard Mokaya Bosire one week to table a report in the assembly.
