Thika Town Member of County Assembly (MCA) Kennedy Mwangi has lashed out at some leaders in the county accusing Governor William Kabogo of being a poor leader.
In a brief with journalists at Thika town on Wednesday, the MCA lauded Governor Kabogo’s leadership, saying the governor has been on the fore front to promote development.
The MCA accused those condemning the governor, saying they are envious of his work.
“Governor Kabogo has been on the frontline agitating for change and development,” he said.
The ward representative, however, observed that there is need for leaders in the county to unite, as this is the only way to realize development.
“There is need for leaders across Kiambu to embrace unity, if we want to develop, we must work together,” he said.
Mwangi said that Kiambu is the mirror of the country since President Uhuru Kenyatta hails from the region, hence the need for it to embrace unity.
The MCA asked Thika residents to be patient as leaders work on policies that will promote development.
He added that he is working closely with the area MP Alice Ng’ang’a and other MCAs to promote development and improve the livelihoods of residents.
