The legislator for Mumberes/Maji Mazuri Ward met his death on Wednesday after being hospitalised at a Nakuru hospital for about one month.

Doctors at the hospital say he succumbed to high blood pressure.

Kagathi will be remembered for fighting for the rights of the Kikuyu community living in Baringo county, something that made him be elected to the County Assembly on a TNA ticket in the 2013 elections.
