A Nyamira MCA has termed Deputy President William Ruto a ‘hypocrite’ and challenged him to learn to be consistent on matters of national importance.
The DP seemed to be contracting himself over the National Youth Service scandal after telling off former Devolution CS Anne Waiguru to carry her own cross, a complete contrast to what he said in 2015 when the scandal was made public.
And Bochigora MCA Beuttah Omanga now questions the DP's consistency saying he lacked moral uprightness on matters corruption that could be trusted by members of the public.
“The Deputy President is becoming a master of double speak. Last year, he accused the opposition of unnecessarily dragging Waiguru into the NYS saga terming it political and the opposition was vindicated,” he said.
“He is becoming hypocritical now and has no moral integrity to fight corruption. It’s absurd that the same man is now condemning someone he vehemently defended in 2015 when the country needed his positive voice,” he added.
Lat week when she appeared before the PAC, Waiguru mentioned Ruto’s aide, Farouk Kibet and businessman Ben Gethi as the beneficiaries of the controversial theft of Sh791 million in the NYS.
