Bonyamatuta ward representative Robinson Mocheche was on Friday at pains to answer questions from youths and the community over allegations he stole the youths' greenhouse.
Mocheche found it hard to clear his name over his involvement in the disappearance of the agricultural equipment donated to the youth group last year, and was unable to answer on how the greenhouse landed in his hands months after the youth group received it.
A Section of the Umoja Youth Group in Karantini village accused the MCA of colluding with a section of the group's officials to repossess the kit.
"How comes 'mheshimiwa' you give us something that will help empower ourselves economically and later collude with some corrupt officials to steal it from us, are you helping us through that or you are making us poorer?" posed one member.
"Is this the kind of leadership we expect from you, instead of showing us the way to be independent you are instead making us poorer and dependent, we want our greenhouse back," said another aggrieved member.
The heat became too much for the MCA, and he took off to his car as the locals heckled.
He was however forced to come back and finish the meeting which was presided over by the area chief Mr.Alfred Nyaenda, and he promised to ensure that the kit is brought back by 18th of this month.
