Speaking to journalist on Wednesday in Kisii town, party officials led by Kisii Central Member of county assembly Wilfred Monyenye, the party said they support President Uhuru Kenyatta for reelection but the party can't be dissolved to join Jubilee Party.

This comes after Ford People chairman Albert Nyaundi visited State House and announced that the party is going to be dissolved to join Jubilee Party .

Party officials in Kisii County said Nyaundi never consulted Ford People officials about the issue and if he forces the dissolution of the party they will have to meet in court.

“Ford people remains firm and can’t be dissolved, we support President Uhuru Kenyatta come 2017 but can’t join Jubilee Party because the party is going to be used for those who contest for MP seats and MCAs," said Monyenye.

“Albert Nyaudi is the interim chairman and our party leader is Simeon Nyachae so Nyaundi has no power in the party to do what he need to do,” James Kenani Deputy party chairman.
