Sarangombe Ward MCA Pius Owino has on Friday held a security meeting in Kamkunji grounds to find ways of ending runaway insecurity in the ward.
Otieno said insecurity in the area in recent days has increased and that an immediate solution should found.
The MCA said there were many youth idling in the area who should be helped to find ways of making a living.
"I urge you to enhance the Nyumba Kumi initiative so that every one of you knows their neighbours,” Owino said.
He urged residents to cooperate with the police in a bid to curb insecurity.
Local leaders who also addressed the meeting said they will form a local security committee that will help tame the insecurity issue.
They urged the youth to be industrious and never engage in criminal activities as a way of earning a living.
