Biashara Ward Member of the County Assembly (MCA) Stephen Kuria has urged local schools managers to consider installing CCTV cameras in their schools in order to promote security and discipline among pupils, students teachers and workers.
Kuria noted this when he addressed students of Jamuhuri Primary School near Nakuru State House during a thanks giving ceremony today (Thursday).
He observed that CCTV cameras have in the recent past helped prevent crime in both private and public places and urged schools in Nakuru to embrace the new security surveillance trend.
He further noted that such initiatives would highly improve discipline and morality in schools hence contribute to improved academic and extra- curricular performances in local schools.
“CCTV cameras have in the recent past helped solve security and crime problems. This new trend should be embraced in our learning institutions because it will help curb or prevent crime and also instil discipline and among our children,’’ said Kuria.
