Nominated MCA Margaret Kiiru has declared intention to contest the Nakuru  Senate seat.

Kiiru said senators had done little to stop corruption and other vices in the county goverments.

“Few women gunning for seats is a problem because it means issues affecting them are not addressed,” the MCA was quoted by a local paper.

Others in the Nakuru senate race include Speaker Susan Kihika, former Subukia MP Koigi Wamwere, businessman Karanja Kabage  and Paul Mwithaga.
