Speaking in her office in Makongeni on Saturday, Hussein said that girls in the school are exposed to a health hazard especially during rainy seasons.

She said that when it rains, rain water mixes up with sewerage and floods all over the school compound making it unbearable for those students to learn.

Hussein said that those girls are vulnerable and need special and urgent attention before rain starts to save them from the looming hazard.

She said that she started that school with her main aim and reason being to give girl child independence through education, which she says is now being ruined by environmental hazard making it difficult to achieve the goal of empowering as many girls as possible.

“The dream of many girl child could fade due to this environmental hazard since it definitely interferes with their normal way of studies whenever it strikes. Lets all support the project of rehabilitating the school to bring the independence that I dreamt of when I started Kenyatta girls to a realisation,” said Hussein.

MCA Hussein called upon the area elected leaders, opinion leaders, parents and residents of the Wards to come along and help raise the hygiene standards of that school so that the girls can enjoy learning from the institution
