Ambale said he has no information of such a meeting and if at all some individuals met Governor Mbugua then they were doing it on their capacity and not as the Luhya community in Nakuru.

“I want to say I have not heard of such a meeting even from the Luhya leaders led by the chairman John Amukoye and if some individuals went there then they did it on their capacity without consulting,” he said.

Ambale said those pushing such an agenda do so for self interests.

“In Nakuru we have the Luhya community represented in two wards and we have also members of the Luhya Council of Elders led by John Amukoye and they at one particular time sought audience with the governor but they were not able to meet him,” he said.

His sentiments come after a section of media reported that there was a meeting between Luhya community elders and Governor Mbugua where they endorsed him for a second term.
