Julius Macharia, Witeithie Ward Representative, said he had received threats from a management of a land buying company in the area which he claim has grabbed various parcels of land in Witeithie.

The MCA has been leading a campaign to repossess grabbed public land in the area and turning them into learning institutions.

"Following our desire to transform Witeithie in all parameters, today I have received threat calls from Kandara Land Investment. This is due to the new schools we are establishing in Witeithie Ward and some are in progress," he said on Tuesday.

Just last week, Macharia laid down the foundation of a new school in Kibute which is expected to host ECDE, primary and secondary schools.

There are also plans to construct a social hall near Ndarugo Academy and village polytechnic at Ofisini-Runda area.

All these plots which have been earmarked for development, the MCA reports, have been grabbed by the company and surrendered illegally to the Dominican Missionary Sisters in Kenya.

Macharia vowed not to relent in his fight to reclaim the grabbed properties and asked residents to back him.

"In that regard, its my desire that my people will remember my ideas and not me. Because I can fail. I can be arrested, I can even be killed and forgotten. But years later my ideas will germinate and change our ward," the MCA posted on Facebook.
