Former Kisii County Assembly Leader of Majority and Bomariba ward MCA Protus Moindi has been accused of being among the corrupt MCAs in the county.
This is after Moindi with other MCAs and the assembly speaker went on a trip to Mwanza where they are said to have spent millions of money.
About 45 MCAs led by Sensi ward MCA Paul Angwenyi have accused the assembly speaker David Kombo of dividing the ward representatives.
Furious residents said they are regretting electing corrupt leaders who are only interested in embezzling of funds.
"It is so sad that Protus Moindi is part of those people embezzling funds. Residents of Bomariba are regretting electing an untrustworthy leader," said Peter Oyondi.
Oyondi said it is time for the EACC to investigate the MCAs, speaker and all county staff who went to Mwanza.
"We will not have leaders in office only interested in satisfying their stomach. EACC should intervene and ensure public funds are not wasted by the selfish leaders," he added.
Kisii Central MCA Kefah Mogaka said the assembly speaker Mr Kombo should be blamed for increased corruption at the county.
"Kombo is very old to serve at the speaker position because he will not see any problem spending millions of money. He should be impeached to save our county from corruption which will derail development," he noted.
