According to Bonchari MP John Opore, the Polytechnic in Miranga village has stalled for the past 5 years because the MCA has failed to push the county government to allocate funds for its construction.

“Miranga Youth Polytechnic is a project that is under Kisii County government and not the national government as claimed by the area MCA. Moindi should be blamed for the stalled project and not me or the former Bonchari MP John Opore,” said the lawmaker.

Bomariba sub location assistant chief Benjamin Ayuma urged the MCA to ensure the polytechnic gets funds for its construction to start.

“We are calling on area MCA Mr. Moindi to ensure the construction of the project starts and be completed before 2022 elections. The MCA should not abuse the mandate he was given by the electorates during the last year’s polls,” said the local administrator.

Ayuma said the local community has lost hope in the project and the MCA should revive its construction so that he can be trusted as a performing leader.
