Flamingo ward MCA Moses Gichangi will Thursday evening lead residents in a candle lighting ceremony and prayers in honour of the two technicians who were electrocuted last Sunday in Nakuru.
One of the technicians, Peter Ongeri, died on Wednesday morning at the Kenyatta National Hospital after he sustained over 50% burns in the Sunday tragedy.
Gichangi said he would provide 200 candles for the vigil to be held at the affected pole in Industrial Area.
He also called upon residents to bring flowers for the event.
The two Kenya Power technicians were caught on camera being electrocuted after power was switched on while they were fixing an electric pole.
Kenya Power said it has launched investigations into the mishap.
