Viwandani MCA Eunice Mureithi has pledged to repair and reconstruct feeder roads in her location in the next one month
Muretihi said that the process was being delayed by the budgetary committee, which had not released funds for their upgrading.
Speaking to our reporter in Naivasha, Mureithi noted that the roads were in a deplorable condition, and needed to be repaired soon.
“We are already in the final deal agreement and we intend to bring the contractor on the ground early next month. We intend to grade and level all the feeder roads in Kabati, site and Kanjo estates so as to make ease of travel,” she added
Her claims come a few weeks after area residents threatened to collect signatures to recall her, claiming the poor roads were becoming a security threat in the area.
“We are forced to slow down at night not knowing who is lurking behind the shadows. The poor roads are now a great hazard and pose a great danger to us motorbike operators,” said John Karanja.
Another resident, Benson Maina said that the poor roads were ruining their vehicles.
“We have to replace tryes every now and then and yet she is not concerned. It’s a shame that she lives in the neighborhood yet she cannot repair its roads,” he added.
