Gachuba Ward rep Joseph Andrew Magangi has vowed to make a success the bodaboda sector in the ward.
This is through forming a Sacco that will cater for their business needs.
Speaking at Gachuba Market when he commissioned the site on Thursday, Magangi said that the bodaboda industry is easily managing the transport market mostly in rural areas thus promoting progressive entrepreneurship.
An estimated 200 bodaboda riders will benefit after launching it in one month’s time to help them invest and run businesses.
On the other hand Magangi acknowledged the participation of Nyamira County in putting up the Girango (Gachuba) market at a cost of over Sh 11 million.
“The indigenous business people will be advantaged as they will not travel far to sell or buy goods. The market will boost business in the area,” he stated.
He promised to initiate gravelling some roads for easy access and putting up a maternity wing at Gachuba.
