Bomariba Ward Representative Protus Moindi has promised to pile pressure on Kisii County government to allocate funds for the construction of Miranga Youth Polytechnic.
The former Kisii County Assembly Majority leader stated that the project has stalled for several years because former Bonchari MP John Opore ignored to allocate CDF funds for the construction of the project while he was in office for 15 years.
“I don’t want to be blamed for the stalled Miranga Youth Polytechnic because the project was devolved in 2013 after former Bonchari MP John Opore failed to allocate funds for its construction. I wish to assure Bomariba residents that Kisii County government will allocate funds to start the construction of the projects which will be completed by 2022 before I leave office,” he said.
He urged the local community to be patient because the project will only get the funds once the MCAs passes 2018/2019 budget.
“I am pushing hard to ensure the projects get at least Sh2 million to start the construction of the project once the 2018/2019 project is passed. Miranga residents need to embrace patience for the time being,” he said.
