Bomariba ward MCA Protus Moindi has been accused of giving false promises to residents of Nyabiosi plying Kasarani – Nyamagundo – Kenyorora road.
The residents on Wednesday claimed that the MCA pledged the upgrade the road within 3 months after he won the August 8, 2017 polls.
The locals led by Paul Omete said the MCA has never stepped foot in the village after he received support from the residents.
“Moindi promised to upgrade the road within the first 3 months in office which he is yet to fulfil. The MCA has been playing cards when we call him to inform him about the bad state of the road especially during this heavy rain season. We are in regret we elected a failure who will not perform as he promised during the campaigns last year,” he noted.
Vincent Mogere a boda-boda rider said the road is completely impassable and it needs to be upgraded.
“Motorists no longer use the road due to muddy and slippery. We are calling on Moindi to act as he promised so that transportation on the road can be easy. We elected him to serve us and not to fill his own stomach. Let him visit the area to see the condition of the road,” said Mogere.
