Karungo Wa Thang’wa has faulted President Uhuru Kenyatta and his deputy William Ruto for advocating for six-piece voting pattern.

The senator aspirant says that six-piece voting will result in unfit leaders being elected to office.

He says Kenyans should be left to make their personal choices. He said that imposing certain leaders on the people will derail realisation of development agenda.

The Ngewa MCA observes that good leaders are likely to be rejected as a result of six-piece voting.

“Six-piece is unconstitutional and unfriendly to aspirants who are seeking seats as independent candidates,” he said as quoted by the Standard.

Karungo now wants UhuRuto to review their call and allow locals to make independent choices.

The MCA  is contesting as an independent candidate after losing the Jubilee Party (JP)  ticket to Kimani Wamatangi in the party primaries.

On Sunday during a campaign rally in Kiambu, President Uhuru Kenyatta called on residents to vote for candidates in the same party.

Several aspirants among them Governor William Kabogo who lost in the JP nomination and contesting as independents have also opposed Jubilee's six piece vote plan.
