Biashara ward MCA Stephen Kuria gave the notice, accusing the CeC of being incompetent to run the lands docket.

“The executive is incompetent at her work and should be relieved of her post with immediate effect,” said Kuria.

Nakuru County assembly speaker Susan Kihika has since appointed a committee of five members to investigate the allegations levelled against Maina.

The appointed team includes Solai ward MCA Paul Chebor, Bahati ward MCA Peter Ndiritu, Hell's Gate MCA Jonathan Warothe, Murindati ward MCA Monica Gitau and nominated ward representative Irene Paul. The five are expected to table their findings after investigating the CeC.

“In the next 10 days, there shall be a special house session to look into the findings of the appointed committee. That is when we shall debate whether to adopt the report or not,” said Kihika.
