Uasin Gishu County Assembly leader of majority Josphat Lowoi has asked National Super Alliance (NASA) leader Raila Odinga to accept the fact that the country has a duly elected president.

The Karuna/Mibeki MCA has further challenged the NASA leader to totally abandon his swearing-in plans and retire from politics.

Speaking in Eldoret on Sunday, Lowoi said NASA's attempts to swear in Raila is a waste of time as it has no constitutional backing.

"We've realized that during the constitutional making process Raila and his team wanted to create a loophole for someone to ascend to power through the backdoor but luckily there were other clever Kenyans who sealed that loophole," noted the MCA.

"As things stand now, the only viable option for Raila is to retire honorably and we shall be visiting him once in a while to seeks political advice from him," he added.

The MCA asked Raila and the opposition leaders to allow the country move forward."We've used a lot of time in politics and it's time we allowed the government to now work for the people. Kenyans are tired of this political theatrics they want to move forward," he said.
