A Kisii county MCA has threatened to expose Governor James Ongwae over what he termed as unconstitutional, unfair process of appointing chief officers to serve in various departments in the county.
The ODM MCA who declined to be named accused Ongwae of making the appointment exercise a personal issue.
“I will expose everything if the complainants I raised will not be addressed properly. The appointments were not free and fair. Most of those who were appointed bribed for the posts yet there were candidates who had qualifications to serve in the positions but since they had no money, they were kicked out,” claimed the MCA.
He added that appointment of 2 departments, Trade, Industry and Tourism and Education, Labor and Manpower was put on hold after Ongwae realised his unconstitutional plans were known.
“Appointment of chief officers for 2 departments is pending after the county boss was warned against the illegal appointment which has divided the members. As MCAs, we were chosen by the people who we must represent fully. Any kind of blackmail by governor Ongwae will not be tolerated any longer,” added the MCA.
