Biashara ward MCA Mwangi wa Mwangi will on Thursday this week launch the elderly and people with disability kitty fund at the Thika social hall in Kiambu County.

Speaking from his office on Tuesday morning, the MCA said the vulnerable members of the society need to be safeguarded and be shown a lot of care.

He further added that the county government is all-inclusive and does not discriminate in the basis of age, gender or even social being.

“The county government will not neglect this elderly men and women as they are our parents and everyone will have to go through that stage and we need to remember that they too are members of the society,” said Mwangi.

The MCA has also asked everyone from his ward to come and witness part of the development moving towards the success of the county government’s vision of delivering services to the public.

Mwangi also added that the society in general should take responsibility in helping the disabled people, by ensuring they offer support them whenever they need help.

“We are supposed to handle them with great care as they are some precious members of the society, if we enable them move from begging from the streets to selling from the streets it will be one of our great achievement as a county,” stated Mwangi.
