Bahati MCA John Njuguna has asked roadside sellers and kiosk operators working near drainage systems to keep them clean in order to avoid blockages.

Speaking in the Town on Wednesday, Njuguna said that some sellers especially those who deal with groceries have a habit of dumping rotten groceries on the roadside ditches causing blockages.

"We want to ensure that our town and residential areas are free from flooding that may occur as a result of the blockage of the drainage systems and our sewer lines", said Njuguna.

He noted that the county government had provided bins everywhere in the town for easy disposal of waste.
