Mechanics at Kwa-Michael, Ngewa in Kiambu County were up in arms early Wednesday condemning area MCA Karungo Wa Thang'wa for allegedly engineering their eviction.
The mechanics claim that the MCA orchestrated their removal from the area they operate from.
John Ngarachu, a mechanic said, "We have operated from here for many years and this is where we make our living. Why does he want us evicted?”
The mechanics say that the MCA wants the area to be used for construction of sheds for bodaboda operators.
However, Thang’wa has refuted the claims accusing some Kiambu government officials of inciting the two groups against each other.
"I am one of those who are supporting the construction of the sheds but they have to be built where we will all agree," Karungo said.
"We will sit down with you mechanics and the bodaboda people now and find a solution but we will not allow two people to bring confusion here," he added.
The MCA said that he has written to Governor William Kabogo to sack the two ward administrators whom he says are inciting the two groups.
