The plea has come after the construction of Kenyenya library which was completed over the last two years and as of now the library is not equipped with textbooks despite the county pledging to do so.

Speaking on Wednesday at Kenyenya during Madaraka Day celebrations, Bokimonge MCA George Bibao urged Kisii county government to fulfill its promise by equipping the library.

“The construction of Kenyenya library was completed two years ago and our county promised to equip it, I am urging my Governor James Ongwae to do so as a show of transparency and accountability,” noted Bibao.

The MCA challenged Kisii county parents to cooperate with education stakeholders to improve education standards in Kisii.

“Unity in education can move our region forward let parents work with education stakeholders to promote education sector and move ahead,” added Bibao.
