Mwangi said that he allocated Sh18 million for the area women development.

He has urged women to come up with projects and knock his office for funding.

Mwangi called on the women to follow the youth who have been in the frontline enhancing their future by starting up different projects and they are now excelling.

He said that the youth have shown that they are aware of the funds set aside for them as they are almost exhausting the kitty set aside for them.

“The women are lagging behind in almost everything but am sure they have not realized their funds are in the accounts. They need to wake up and utilize these funds fully,” said Mwangi.

He was speaking when he met a group of women who have commenced a chicken cage project in Thika and who had paid him a courtesy call to ask for his financial support.

He lauded the group for being the pioneer group and promised to support them fully.
