Speaking on Thursday at Thigio Location during a security meeting with residents, Munga urged the two levels of government to establish a police station at Ndeiya.

“Ndeiya depends on services from Tigoni and Limuru Central Police Stations. This is despite the area having a one-acre plot earmarked for a police station,” said Munga.

The MCA was responding to queries from Ndeiya residents over the murder of two women on New Year’s Eve at Thigio Location.

Munga said that the insecurity in the area has worsened due to lack of a police station.

“Criminals are taking advantage of lack of a police post to perpetrate crimes,”said Munga.

Limuru OCPD Moses Owiti confirmed the murder and said that police are holding one suspect in connection with the murder.

“We are holding a suspect and we are questioning him over the murder,” said Owiti.

He however declined to give the identity of the two girls until their relatives have been notified.

“The bodies of the two ladies were found in a maize plantation, had stab wounds and were naked,” said Owiti.

The OCPD urged the residents to support the county's effort in the fight against the insecurity.
