Nyalenda Member of County Assembly, Jacktone Onunga, has challenged Kisumu residents to foster development by capitalising on the available resources.
Speaking at a forum meant to sensitise and empower locals in Tom-Mboya Labour College, Onunga urged residents to utilise available resources appropriately to foster development.
"Let us use the available resources to foster development. This can only happen if we will use them appropriately," said Onunga.
Nominated MCA Caroline Ogot also supported the call where she emphasised on proper usage of available resources to create impact in the surrounding regions.
"Locals need awareness on how they can use the available resources to bring development," said Ogot.
She further urged leaders to come up with a campaign across the region which will educate locals on health usage of available resources.
South west Kisumu ward MCA Joseph Abiola also urged residents to use local resources to bring development. Abiola emphasised on proper sensitisation to the locals to use available resources.
