Kiambu nominated MCA Mercy Nungari has warned Kiambu leaders against focusing on the 2022 politics.
The MCA has instead asked elected leaders from the region to instead look for ways to help farmers and the youths.
Nungari said some politicians from the region have devoted their energies on discussing the 2022 succession politics yet local are suffering.
“It sad that only a few politician have been fighting for the rights of citizen's while others only concentrate on politics at the expense of poor Kenyans. How will we for example be food secure if farmers, youths and others are being ignored?” said Nungari on Saturday at a local radio station.
She lamented that farmers are facing challenges such as lack of fertilizers and their unpaid dues but none of the elected leaders is talking about it.
“We have a sizeable number of Members of Parliament who could have fast-tracked the process of farmers getting fertilizers and also passing of the supplementary budget for farmers to be paid their dues but no one seems bothered.
"Let’s concentrate on making the lives of farmers better before embarking on 2022 politics,” she added
